Patrick Leverty is the son of the firm’s principal, Gene Leverty, and proudly joined Leverty & Associates in the fall of 2004. His practice focuses primarily on the areas of trial advocacy and insurance coverage litigation and insurance litigation. Mr. Leverty also counsels clients in federal and state insurance regulatory compliance issues; and represents both individuals and insurance companies in administrative proceedings before the Nevada Division of Insurance.
Prior to joining the firm, he served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Janet Berry in the Second Judicial District Court in Reno.
A native Nevadan, Mr. Leverty obtained his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business-Economics and History from the University of California at Santa Barbara, in Santa Barbara, California. Mr. Leverty received his Juris Doctor Degree from Seattle University School of Law, in Seattle, Washington, where he graduated cum laude. While attending law school Patrick Leverty was a member of the international legal fraternity Phi Delta Phi.
Patrick Leverty is admitted to practice in all Nevada, California, and Washington state courts, as well as the United States District Court for the State of Nevada and the Central District of California. He is a member of the Nevada Trial Lawyers Association and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.
Patrick Leverty was a co-author of "Confusion Abounds Subrogation/Reimbursement in Health Insurance Policies and Plans." Mr. Leverty is a licensed Property & Casualty Insurance Producer in the State of Nevada.
When Patrick Leverty is away from the office he enjoys skiing, swimming, playing water polo, and traveling. Before entering law school, Pat traveled throughout South America with his identical twin brother, Ty. Pat studied Spanish in Ecuador for two months before traveling through Peru, Bolivia, Chile, and Argentina.
