Patrick Leverty joined the firm in the fall of 2004. His practice focuses primarily on trial advocacy and insurance litigation. Mr. Leverty also counsels clients in federal and state insurance regulatory compliance issues; and represents both individuals and insurance companies in administrative proceedings before the Nevada Division of Insurance.
Prior to joining the firm, he served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Janet Berry in the Second Judicial District Court in Reno.
A native Nevadan, Mr. Leverty obtained his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business-Economics and History from the University of California at Santa Barbara, in Santa Barbara, California. Mr. Leverty received his Juris Doctor Degree from Seattle University School of Law, in Seattle, Washington, where he graduated cum laude.
Patrick Leverty is admitted to practice in all Nevada, California and Washington state courts, as well as the United States Court for the State of Nevada, the United States Court for the Central District of California and the United States Court for the Eastern District of California. He is a member of the Nevada Justice Association and the American Association of Justice.
Patrick Leverty was a co-author of "Confusion Abounds Subrogation/Reimbursement in Health Insurance Policies and Plans" and "Full Disclosure of Producer Compensation: The Cheapest E&O Insurance."
Patrick Leverty is married with one child.
